Lisa Sjogren has served in the capacity to aid teachers in improving their technology integration skills. From 2005-2088, she worked at St. Raphael’s Catholic School (Crystal, MN) and developed a technology program that focused on developing 21st century skills and bridging the digital divide by increasing technology access.

In the fall of 2008, Lisa joined Osseo Area School’s Informational and Instructional Technology Team (I2T2) as a Technology Integration Specialist. Her current day-to-day work has her managing the first K-12 Professional Development program to receive the International Society for Technology in Education’s (ISTE) National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers Seal of Alignment. She was also responsible for launching blogs for teachers and a student email system for Osseo’s 21,000 students.

She has a passion for teaching about digital citizenhip and literacy. She is considered Osseo’s go-to-guru when it comes to Facebook privacy and has presented at Minnesota TIES 2009, an ISTE Technology in Practice Webinar in 2010, and throughout the Osseo community. Her presentation about Facebook has been reviewed as a, “real wake up call” and has been viewed by over 3,000 people on slideshare.

In 2010, she was inducted into the inaugural class of ISTE Emerging Leaders and was a finalist for the Outstanding Young Educator of the Year Award. She currently serves as the Communications Director for ISTE’s Special Interest Group Innovative Learning Technologies.

In her spare time, Lisa is a four-time National champion and 2011 Master’s International Champion (LSB)  in speedskating. She also enjoys cooking, travel, and photography. Lisa and her husband Erik live in the Twin Cities metro area.
